We'll be showing you hammers in a new light – not only how they help in nailing together our structures and communities but also how they have evolved with us as we have changed the way we live and work. We promise to be "hammer-lite" in showing you how "man's first tool" has come a long way since our Fred Flintstone forefathers put a handle on the stone they had been pounding with to take advantage of the leveraged power in a "hammer swing". From "stone age" to "do-it-yourself", we will cover it all. We'll be "romancing the hammer", showing how it has appeared in literature, song and verse through the ages. We also promise you some fun as we pop a few quizzes, puzzles and brain-teasers to stimulate your gray matter.
